Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce

Gretchen Clark, President of Reynolds-Clark Development, Inc. has been newly elected as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce.  Gretchen was elected at the Annual Meeting on the 8th of January and will serve as Chair throughout the year of 2013.  Gretchen has served on the Chamber's Board of Directors since 2010, and served as Chair-Elect in 2012. 

ACEC Virginia Emerging Leaders Institute

ACEC Virginia puts on a yearly Emerging Leaders Institute for engineers in the state. The institute helps member firms grow in leadership through seminars in human resources, business development, leading teams, strategic planning, networking, and more. It also gives member firms the "chance to learn how to grow a successful engineering business." The institute is an 8-month long program, and on June 22, 2012 at the Wintergreen Resort, Reynolds-Clark's Tim Reynolds graduated with 28 other engineers.

Ferrum College Visit

Ferrum College students visited Reynolds-Clark recently to learn about civil engineering and land planning.  Students first had the opportunity to sit down with Gretchen Clark and review civil engineering drawings.  Following a brief overview of the profession, Gretchen was able to take the students out in the field in Gretna, VA. 

We are Live!

Thanks to David Parrish of buentec, LLC, our new website is up and running!  David did an excellent job with the design and maneuverability of the website.  You can keep up to date with what is going on in our office by viewing our most recent news, and check out some of the new project photos we have posted.  We will be updating the website on a regular basis, so let us know what you think.  A huge THANK YOU to buentec for all the hard work! 

R-C seeking to hire Environmental Engineer

Annual Membership Meeting

Gretchen Clark recently attended the Annual Membership Meeting for the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Reseach center.  Gretchen has been serving on the Board of Directors as a Board Member for two (2) years.  She is now a Chair-Elect for the Chamber of Commerce. 

R-C visits DC

Gretchen Clark and Timothy Reynolds just recently visited Washington, DC on December 14, 2011.  They met with Congressman Robert Hurt, the Secretary of Agriculture and the EPA Administrator to discuss Clean Water Act issues in relation to farm ponds on behalf of the U.S. Cattleman's Association. 

Banister Bend Mitigation Bank Annual Monitoring Complete

The Banister Bend Mitigation Bank annual monitoring was recently completed.  As an approved bank by the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE), the bank has to be monitored to measure plant survivability.  Annual monitoring includes evaluation of the planted vegetation and volunteer vegetation throughout the year.  It's such a beautiful place to work!

Kristy Wolfe just passed the Project Management Professional certification examination! The PMP® credential is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. Globally recognized and demanded, the PMP® demonstrates that you have the experience, education and competency to successfully lead and direct projects.

American Council of Engineering Companies
