Environmental Planning Projects

Banister Bend Mitigation Bank

Manage and Monitor a Mitigation Bank for wetland and stream credits.  Have provided marketing assistance for the sell of credits, as well as the annual monitoring report for mitigation bank management. 

Chatham Nursing Home

Site and utility design for a 120 bed nursing home facility on 25 acres in Chatham, VA. The project involved grading, parking layout, utility connections and stormwater management calculations. A VPDES permit was prepared for the contractor and wetlands were delineated and confirmed by the Army Corps of Engineers

Halifax County Fairgrounds

Provided a Phase I Environmental Assessment and Wetland Delineation for the Halifax County Fairgrounds. Researched historical information and developed site maps to compile the Environmental Assessment report. Managed the Wetland Delineation field work, mapping, and submittal for confirmation.

Hammock Farm Pond

Currently providing environmental engineering services for the construction of a farm pond for agricultural purposes for the irrigation of crops.  The proposed pond is approximately 12 acres in surface area and will impact approximately 2,500 linear feet of stream channel and approximately 0.5 acres of wetlands.  Such impoundment requires an Individual Permit (IP) from the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE).  We have provided Wetland Delineation and Stream Assessment aid, as well as the preparation of the Joint Permit Application for the IP.   

Liberty Ridge Restoration

Design and construction of a restoration project monitored by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  Provided the schematic drawings and design and organized surveying, permitting and landscaping services.  The design included stream restoration, an Eradication Plan for Invasive Species, as well as monitoring and annual evaluations for five (5) years following construction completion. 

Liberty University Permitting

Reynolds-Clark has provided environmental engineering services to Liberty Univeristy is several facets including wetland delineation and confirmations, stream assessments, mitigation planning and corrective action planning. These services have been provided for the following Liberty projects: Camp Hydaway, Commercial Property, Gravity Park, Perimeter Road, Liberty Mountain Road, Perimeter Road Phase 2, Crossroads Colonnade, Loan Jack Road, Regents Parkway, Communication Tower, Vines Center Parking Lot, Equestrian Center, Temporary Pipe Crossing, Liberty Mountain Road Phase 2, Intramural Fields and Ivy Lake Beach.

Sappony Trading Path

Design of a  2.5 mile recreational trail and 4,000 linear feet of bike lane located in Halifax County, VA that is partially funded by a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) TEA-21 grant.  Scope of services included Surveying, Preliminary Trail Alignment, Concept Plan, Trail Design, Cultural Center Design, Logo and Signage, Landscape Design, Project Management and Construction Administration.

Swan Lake/Spring Lake Dredging and Improvements

Designed dredging and improvement plans for Swan Lake and Spring Lake located in a residential development in Forest, VA.  Obtained in individual permit to complete the dredging and construction of forebays, as well as disposal of the dredged material and construction monitoring. 

Little Bryd Creek

Civil and Environmental Engineering proivded for a 62 Lot Single Family Cluster Development. Scope of services included roadway design and subdivision development, as well as wetland delineating for proposed development.

Navigation Cove

Environmental permitting for a residential subdivision on Smith Mountain Lake.  The Joint Permit Application was prepared for road impacts to streams.   


Site Engineering for 700 acre Single Family/Multi-Family Development at Smith Mountain Lake.  Scope of services included rezoning assistance, conceptual design and project management.  Completed a wetland delineation on the entire property to develop conceptual layout. 

Sleepy Oaks Villas

Provided wetland delineation for proposed development project. Completed on-site meeting with ACOE to obtain confirmation.
